We've all been there. We come back from a hike, and we notice we have poison ivy. Instead of going to the pharmacy to get expensive Tecnu, if you have fresh growing catnip in your garden you can get rid of it at home in half the time!
This works for poison ivy, oak, and sumac!
Poison ivy spreads and is hard to get rid of because of the oils on your skin. The key is to dry them out! Fresh catnip when ground into a paste, and applied to the affected area, does just that! The best part is that its all natural, and only takes a few days tops to alleviate all rash and oils from the affected area.
It alleviates the itch, and dries the area. The rash should be gone within 1 - 2 days! The only issue you may have is fending off your cats if you have feline friends living with you!
Hope this helps!!
