Essential Oils - Blends that can help with Focusing

As promised, here are the blends for Focus from my little book of essential oils, and listed below is some information about the individual oils that I use in those blends.   

Basil - has an aroma of warm & spicy. It mixes well with Bergamot, Citrus Oils, and Hyssop oils. 

Bergamot - has an aroma of sweet & fruity.  It mixes well with Lavender, Nutmeg, Citrus Oils. 

Cinnamon - has an aroma of delicately fragrant, warm sweet flavor. It mixes well with Clove, Frankincense, Lavender, Lemon, Sweet Orange, Ylang Ylang, Ginger, and Bergamot oils.  

Eucalyptus -  has an aroma of strong aromatic, camphoraceous. It mixes well with Cedarwood, Cypress, Rosemary and  Thyme oils. 

Frankincense - has an aroma of a mild camphor and citrus. It mixes well with Balsam Fir Needle, Myrrh, Orange, and  Sandalwood oils.  

Geranium - has an aroma of a subtly sweet, floral.  It mixes well with Clary Sage, Peppermint, and Rose oils. 

Ginger - has an aroma of Spicy, and warm.  It mixes well with Clove, Citrus Oils, Eucalyptus, and Patchouli oils.  Grapefruit - has an aroma of sweet, citrus.  It mixes well with Bergamot, Eucalyptus, Lemon, and Thyme oils.  

Lavender -  has an aroma of floral.  It mixes well with Lemongrass, Peppermint, Marjoram, and Tea Tree oils.  

Lemon - has an aroma of fresh lemon peel.   It mixes well with Chamomile, Eucalyptus, Frankincense, and Lavender oils.  Lime - has an aroma of fresh citrus lime.  It mixes well with Citrus Oils, Sage, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, and Clove oils.  

Myrrh - has an aroma of Musky and warm.  It mixes well with Frankincense, Patchouli, Sandalwood, and Vanilla oils.  Neroli - has an aroma of light sweet-floral fragrance with an element of citrus.   It mixes well with Bergamot, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Geranium, Lavender, Magnolia, Wild Orange, and Ylang Ylang oils.  

Orange - has an aroma of Fresh, sweet orange peel.  It mixes well with Citrus Oils, Clove, Cinnamon, and Nutmeg oils.  Patchouli - has an aroma of Musky, earthy.  It mixes well with Cedarwood, Geranium, Lavender, and Lemongrass oils.  

Peppermint - has an aroma of Fresh, strong mint.  It mixes well with Eucalyptus, Juniper Berry, Pine, and Rosemary oils.  Pine - has an aroma of Balsamic, pine scent.  It mixes well with Balsam Fir Needle, Cedarwood, Juniper Berry, Rosemary oils.  

Rose - has an aroma of warm, deep floral, slightly spicy, rich.  It mixes well with floral oils, citrus oils, resin oils, Lavender, Clary sage, Roman Chamomile, Sweet orange, Bergamot, Cardamom, Ginger, Frankincense oils.

Rosemary - has an aroma of Warm, camphoraceous.  It mixes well with Bergamot, Lemongrass, Peppermint, and Thyme oils.  

Sage - has an aroma of Warm, camphoraceous.  It mixes well with Citrus Oils, Hyssop, Lavender, and Rosemary oils.  Sandalwood - has an aroma of Beautiful woodsy, sweet.  It mixes well with Rose, Lavender, and Vetiver oils. 

Vetiver - has an aroma of Sweet, earthy, woody. It mixes well with Bergamot, Black Pepper, Patchouli, Rose Absolute, Sandalwood, and Ylang Ylang oils. 

Ylang Ylang - has a Pleasant, floral aroma.  It mixes well with Citrus Oils, Clove, Jasmine, Patchouli, and Rose oils.

Here are the blends for Focusing, that coincide with the oils above,  from my own little book of essential oils:

1) Study Buddy - 3 drops Lime, 3 drops Rosemary, 1 drop Basil, 1 drop Ginger

2) Focus - 2 drops Peppermint, 2 drops Orange, 2 drops Frankincense

3) Study Time - 2 drops Rosemary, 2 drops Orange, 2 drops Peppermint

4) Morning Meditation - 3 drops Bergamot, 2 drops Frankincense, 2 drops Orange

5) Brain Booster - Basil, Geranium, Orange    ***

6) Grounding - Orange, Pine, Cinnamon       ***

7) Clear Decisions - 1 drop Pine, 1 drop Rosemary, 1 drop Sage

8) Patience - 1 drop Rose, 1 drop Lavender, 1 drop Pine

9) Relational or Communicate Troubles - Lavender, Vetiver ***

10) Difficulty Focusing - Neroli, Bergamot     ***

11) Balance - Orange, Patchouli, Ginger      ***

12) Concentration - Rosemary, Peppermint  ***

13) Alertness - Bergamot, Rosemary, Grapefruit, Peppermint     ***

14) Unity - 2 drops Grapefruit, 1 drop Lemon, 1 drop Rosemary

15) Balance #2 - 1 drop Ylang Ylang, 2 drops Lavender

16) Concentrate - 2 drops Lemon, 1 Ylang Ylang

17) Yoga Balance - 3 drops Myrrh, 2 drops Sandalwood, 2 drops Lemon

18) Sparkle Your Creativity - 4 drops Grapefruit, 3 drops Eucalyptus, 1 drop Basil

19) Memory Boost - 3 drops Rosemary, 2 drops Lemon, 1 drop Basil

20) Yoga Time - 3 drops Bergamot, 2 drops Frankincense, 2 drops Sandalwood


I hope you find this knowledgeable and it helps with your needs.


The ones with the *** don't have the number of drops to use, so remember to go by the number of drops your diffuser recommends and add them evenly up to the closest number that matches your diffuser.
