Essential Oils - Another way to help you stay Calm

 



The Calming blends of essential oils go hand in hand mostly with stress and anxiety.  When you smell/inhale the scent of essential oils, it travels through the olfactory system into our brains. There it can affect your body by a response from regulating the nervous system to promoting calmness. 

 

“One of the simplest ways to tell your body that you’re in control is by breathing deeply. Deep breathing calms the body, regulates the heart rate, and can help reduce cortisol levels.” (mbghealth)

When you practice deep breathing, it will become second nature.  You can also enhance the effect by diffusing one of the calming essential oils or blends.




If you experience stress or anxiety when you're out and about, you can take it with you.  I know you can’t take your diffuser with you, so how about trying this?  Get a wooden clothespin and drop some calming oils on it, and now you can attach the clothespin to your vent, by just sliding the open end on the louvers of the vent.  Another way would be to get either a piece of cloth or a cotton ball. Add the oils to it and either drop it in your bag or put it in a cubby in your car.


In conclusion, there is no solution or remedy for all difficulties or diseases, and what may work for me, might not work for you.  Essential oils might help with momentary anxiousness, but it is not a cure-all.

The ones with the *** don't have the number of drops to use, so remember to go by the number of drops your diffuser recommends and add them evenly up to the closest number that matches your diffuser.
